A trail challenge that takes you beyond your usual routes, and keeps you coming back to improve.
Current challenges
The Summer Challenge opens first, with 12 routes that gradually build from accessible adventures to bigger days in the mountains. Finish all 12 to unlock a 13th bonus route. Winter follows in 2027 with 15 longer and tougher routes.

The Summer Challenge opens with approachable routes and gradually builds towards longer and more rewarding adventures. 12 routes, roughly one per week, with a 13th bonus route unlocked once you finish them all.
June to August 2027
Cape Trail's winter season. Longer, tougher routes with bigger climbs. Built for runners and hikers ready for the next step.
What is Cape Trail
Sign up, connect Strava to verify your routes, and start ticking them off one by one. Return to improve your times, challenge your friends, and track your progress throughout the season. Complete every route before the season ends and earn the title of Mountain Goat. Strava is used to verify completed routes. Cape Trail manages challenge progress, achievements and community leaderboards.
How it works

Pick from the seasonal collection and download the GPX or follow the guide.
Run or hike it at your own pace, any day of the season.
Once a route is verified, enter your time to add your result to the Cape Trail leaderboard.
